The Washington Redskins and Overtime Athletics partnered in 2013 to offer Washington Redskins Kids Flag Football Camps. Going into our 4th Summer with the Redskins, we (Redskins & OTA) have made these summer camps the most popular Flag Football Camps in Northern Virginia and Richmond. Kids that attend our camps receive:

Our focus is on football education, participation, sportsmanship and FUN. Flag Football is open to Boys & Girls ages 6 – 13. Flag Football is a NON-CONTACT sport. No experience is necessary and EVERYONE plays!

As much I love football, I'm afraid football as we know it will be soon changing. Parents nationwide are facing the question of when or whether to let their child play tackle football are finding refuge in flag football. In this sport, players pull a detachable fabric strip, or flag, attached to the hips of opposing players, rather than tackling them.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently recommended expanding non-tackling leaguesas a way to limit exposure to collisions. Two University of Minnesota physicians go further in an editorial to be published in the American Journal of Bioethics early in 2016, saying public schools should end tackle football programs because of the sport’s concussion risks.
